Since 2022 Los Barriles > I was an English teacher. In 2022 I founded Baja Kids in Los Barriles, with art, yoga and baby classes, and in 2024 I opened Nanis House alongside it: a daycare and preschool for children aged 1 to 3, with English, physical education and dance, and early stimulation from 3 months. Now we are bringing all of that to La Paz and adding what was always missing: a space where you can rest while your child learns and has fun. Ilse, founder of Baja Kids [See classes](https://baja-kids.com/en/classes) [See the 3D tour](https://baja-kids.com/en/tour) Why and how ## How we designed the cafe Baja Kids was born in Los Barriles and opens its cafe in La Paz in November 2026: a place where your child plays, learns and creates while you enjoy a moment for yourself. 1. ### The play area An indoor sand area, play houses, a play kitchen and books, something for every interest, visible from every table in the cafe, so you can take your time while your child plays. 2. ### The art and yoga room A private, separate room for workshops, yoga and crafts. 3. ### Ilse leads the classes I still lead the art, yoga and baby classes. The cafe, the play area and the team grow around that. 4. ### You, always close by A responsible adult must stay on site while your child is on the premises. That is how we keep track of their time in our areas: the screen in the cafe shows each animal and how much time it has left.
